BREAKING NEWS!

New Colecovision Game to Preview at CGE2K7!

Programmer Philipp Klaus Krause is at it again…and only GameConsoles.com has your sneak peek at his latest Colecovision game! Krause’s latest creation is tentatively titled, "Cye," and is his port of the classic computer game "Kye." The game is currently in development, though it has been completed to the point of a playable demo! Attendees of the 2007 Classic Gaming Expo (CGE2K7) can visit GameConsoles.com’s location during the show, which runs July 28-29, in Las Vegas.

"Cye" is a puzzle game similar to "Boulder Dash," with elements of "Sokoban," "Crystal Mines" and "Pac-Man." The object is to collect all the on-screen diamonds to clear each level. To do so, the player must traverse the maze-like screen, moving rocks and avoiding enemies in order to accomplish this goal. The game is colorful, fast and intelligent. Currently, the demo includes gameplay for only one player but several options will be available in the full version.

The screenshot below shows the original game. The Colecovision version will be based as closely to the original as possible. For more info on the Classic Gaming Expo, click here and stay tuned to GameConsoles.com for more exclusive info on this limited-edition homebrew game!
